The workshop’s activities within the framework of SCALE program (Specialists’ Community Action & Leadership Exchange), which was sponsored by Temasek Foundation – a partner of Sovico Group, took place for two days on September 7 & 8th, 2021, via Zoom virtual meeting platform.
On the first day, Ms. Tran Gia Ngoc Phuong, representative of the Hospitality Division of Phu Long, made a presentation on the history and the vision of Phu Long Company, as well as introducing the company’s facilities and hospitality projects. Mr. Brett Burton, Area General Manager of Furama Resort, Furama Villas and Ariyana Convention Centre Danang, shared with the students about the current & future status as well as prospects for recovery of the hotel industry in Vietnam and ASEAN. On the second day, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam, Director of IBH Academy, in collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic University announced the Student Scientific research topic of “Solutions to restore tourism faith”.
The workshop attracted 160 students and professors from affiliated universities in ASEAN. Through the workshop, students raised many interesting questions to the speakers, and expressed their deep interest in the hotel industry along with their impression on the vision and prospects of Phu Long Company. In mid-October, the students will be expected to make a presentation on the above-mentioned Scientific research to representatives of the Board of Directors of Phu Long Company and IBH Academy.
This is considered as a strategic cooperation that will support the promotion activity of Phu Long Company and its sustainable development.
