In the morning of October 27th, 2021, IBH Academy held a workshop on “Digital Transformation – The Evolution of Business” for 50 General Directors/Deputy General Directors, Directors of Sales – Marketing, Revenue Managers, IT Managers of the Hotel Resort Division. Mr. Pham Ngoc Loi – Digital Transformation Director of Phu Long Hotel and Resort Division presented new trends in the hospitality industry related to Digital Transformation, big data as well as digital transformation plans of the Hotel and Resort Division and SOVICO group.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh – Director of Hotel and Resort Division cum President of IBH Academy implied that Digital transformation of businesses is a vital job because digital transformation helps us adapt to grow, develop, create more surplus value, improve labor productivity and maximize the usage of human resources and database. Only Digital Transformation helps us to implement centralized management without losing the flexibility of members. He also suggested that enterprises, especially hotels and resorts, should set up a Digital Transformation Department, with the core from the information technology department, and with the participation of the general director and heads of the department. Digital transformation is not just technology; digital transformation is strategy.
